Facebook and Instagram Ads

People open Facebook to see what friends and family are up to. Ads on Facebook and Instagram put your business in that same feed, in front of people near you who haven't started looking for anyone yet.

Your ad in a neighbor's feed

Your ad sits in the feed like any other post, marked Sponsored. A tap on Get quote opens a short form without leaving the app, and the person's name and number come through as a new lead.

Facebook Ads

Example

Shops along a small-town main street

Search ads only reach people already looking

Search ads work when someone has already decided to hire. A lot of work never gets that far on its own, like the patio that's been planned for next spring three years running. When that person finally does search, you're one name on a page full of competitors.

Plenty of those people are on Facebook or Instagram every day. Posts on your business page mostly reach people who already follow it. Reaching everyone else in town takes ads.

Your work reaches them while they scroll

Every ad starts from your own photos and videos, because an ad for your business should show your business. We write the words around an offer, such as open dates for spring cleanups.

So who sees the ads? Facebook lets us aim them at the towns you serve and at people whose interests fit your work. We can also use a lookalike audience, which starts from a list of your past customers. Facebook finds other people who have a lot in common with them and shows the ads to those people as well.

How it works

  1. 1

Name the jobs you want more of

Tell us which jobs you'd like to fill when you call or send a request. Your proposal says what we'd run first and what it costs.

  2. 2

    Pick out your photos

Choose photos and short videos of your jobs and your crew. The ones already on your phone are fine.

  3. 3

    You approve the ads

Before anything runs, you see each ad and the lead form that goes with it, and you sign off on both.

  4. 4

    See which photos bring leads

Once the ads run, each lead is tied to the ad that brought it in. When one photo pulls more leads than the rest, send us more like it.

What Facebook Ads costs

Facebook ads have two charges from us: a one-time setup fee and a monthly package after that. Your proposal gives the price of both for your business.

Your own work sells best

Ads built from your job photos, your crew and your place look like you, which is what a neighbor scrolling past recognizes.

Why it's set up this way

  • 01

Nobody on Facebook is looking for you

People scroll past anything that looks like an ad. Photos of your own jobs and your own crew give them a reason to stop that a stock photo can't.

  • 02

    The form lives inside Facebook

Lead forms open inside the app with the person's name and contact details already filled in, which saves them typing on a phone. Each lead lands in your inbox and in your report.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will you post on my Facebook page as well?
Regular posts on your page aren't part of this service, which is built around ads and the leads they bring.
Will my ads show on Instagram as well?
They can. Meta owns Facebook and Instagram and sells ads for both in one place, so the same ads can run in either app or both.
Do I need a Facebook business page?
You do. Every Facebook ad runs under a business page's name and picture, so the page has to exist before the ads can start.
Should I start with Facebook ads or Google Ads?
If most of your jobs are urgent, start with search, because someone with a burst pipe goes straight to Google. Facebook earns its place when you have planned or seasonal work to fill, like kitchen remodels or a fall tune-up special.
Can people call me straight from the ad?
An ad can carry a Call button in place of a form, so one tap dials your number. Calls and form leads both go into your lead tracking.
Can people comment on my ads?
Comments work the same as on any post, so people can ask questions under your ad. Answer them as you would on the phone, because everyone who sees the ad can read your reply.
What does the lead form ask?
Facebook fills in the person's name and phone number from their profile. You can add a question or two, such as the job's address or what needs doing, and keeping it short helps more people finish.
What should I do when a form lead comes in?
Call them back as soon as you can. They sent it in the middle of scrolling, and a quick call reaches them while your ad is still on their mind.
