Marketing for plumbers
Where a plumber loses jobs

The phone rings while you're under a sink
Your hands are full, the phone buzzes in your pocket, and by the time you call back the homeowner has booked someone else. Emergency callers rarely leave a voicemail. They just dial the next name on the list.
Nights and weekends are worse. A leak at 10 PM is a good job, but only if somebody answers.

Three plumbers get the map, and you're not one of them
Search 'plumber near me' on a phone and Google shows a map with three businesses under it. Most people call one of those three and never scroll further.
If your listing sits fourth or lower, a homeowner a few streets away may never see you, however good your work is.

You pay for ads and can't tell which ones worked
Many plumbers have paid for ads, directories or lead lists and been left with a bill and no idea which calls came from where.
Shared leads are worse: the same homeowner gets sold to four plumbers, and the cheapest quote wins.

Check your own Google listing in five minutes
- 1.Your main category says Plumber
Google uses the main category to decide which searches you show up for. 'Plumbing supply store' is a different business.
- 2.Your hours match when you answer
If you take emergency calls, say so in your hours. If you don't, a 24-hour label brings calls you can't take.
- 3.Your service area is set
List the towns and neighborhoods you drive to, so people there see you even without a storefront.
- 4.You have recent photos
Your van, your crew and finished jobs. A listing with real photos looks like a real company.
- 5.Your newest review is from this month
People look at the date. Reply to every review, the good and the bad, in a sentence or two.
- 6.Your phone number matches your website
The same number on Google, your website and your van, so nobody calls a number that's out of date.
