Web Designer

Design and build fast, phone-first websites for local businesses, and improve them from what visitors actually do.

About the role

Our websites have one job: turn a visit into a call or a form lead. You'll design them for the phone first, with the call button and a short form within easy reach wherever a visitor makes up their mind.

Every site starts as a working version at a private link that the owner clicks through on their own phone. After launch, you'll read the heatmaps and session recordings and keep tuning pages to match how people use them.

What you'll do

  • Design and build websites for local businesses, from first draft to launch
  • Share working versions at private links and make the owner's changes
  • Speed-test every site on a phone before it goes live
  • Set up call and form tracking and Microsoft Clarity on each site
  • Study heatmaps and recordings and improve pages after launch

What you'll bring

  • A portfolio of live websites you designed or built
  • Solid HTML and CSS, and experience with a modern site framework
  • An eye for clean, readable layouts that work on a small screen
  • Care about page speed and the details that make a form easy to finish

Nice to have

  • Experience with Next.js or React
  • Experience writing or editing website copy
